Friends and patrons of The Royal Albert Hall held a special evening to celebrate and invite new members to join their annual membership. Each year, the Royal Albert Hall hosts over 400 shows in the main auditorium. Becoming a Friend offers you the chance to book tickets before the general public for selected shows. You and your guest are invited to meet fellow friends and learn more about life at the Hall at exclusive hosted evening drinks receptions and tours. Patron membership with the Royal Albert Hall allows you to go behind the scenes and meet the artists, performers, and staff who shape one of the world’s most extraordinary concert venues.

Programmes at The Royal Albert Hall are varied, including, Late Night Jazz, Live Music Brunch, Classical Coffee Mornings, Ballet, Poetry, Pop Stars, Rock Stars… the list is endless. Famous acts that have played at The Royal Albert Hall include: The Beatles, The Who, Eric Clapton, Sol Gabetta, The The, Luciano Pavarotti to name but a few!

The evening I arrived, the venue was reserved especially for the event and had few surprises in store for the guests including a Dixieland jazz band, an opera singer and wonderful cocktails and canapes. What made the event special was the fact the concert hall was empty and we had the venue and performers all to ourselves. I have never been to The Albert Hall and seen it empty! The canapés at this event were exquisite, my favourite was the lemony goat’s curd with black olive and oat biscuit.

Friends and Patrons of the Royal Albert hall membership ranges from £45 to £10,000 per annum, the memberships involve all different levels of access. By becoming a member you can enjoy discounts at the in-house restaurant Verdi, you will also support and breathe new life into The Albert Hall and benefit even more people though award-winning Education & Outreach programmes which changes lives with the power of music.
