Bibendum is a famous oyster bar situated at the front of the Michelin Building Chelsea, The building was constructed as the first permanent UK headquarters and tyre depot for the Michelin Tyre Company Ltd. in 1911. Although famous as an Oyster bar, I like to come for afternoon coffee tea and desserts at Bibendum as the atmosphere is always relaxing and buzzy. I enjoy looking at the old tiles on the wall with illustrations of racing cars and bicycles on various routes and imagine years gone by.

The desserts are really something to behold, I had a butterscotch tart with gold leaf and my guests had a raspberry cream tart. The menu is always changing so you never know what tantalising surprise may be in store for you!!!!
