I recently had the pleasure of an early birthday present from a dear friend to attend the French electro Ed Banger Records rave at Le Château de Versailles Palace France with a VIP ticket. As soon as I received a link to the party I booked my Eurostar ticket as this was not something I wanted to miss. I was recommended Le Louis Versailles Château Hotel-MGallery. My room at the hotel was delightful with a great view of The City Hall of Versailles where I could see various couples getting married as I was getting ready to party.

I met my friends outside the palace of Versailles and we headed to the event, unfortunately my dress was a little off the mark, as the article that had promoted the party had conveyed it was in the Hall of Mirrors so I dressed for an indoor party, however when I got to the venue I discovered it was outside and although I was wearing short heels they kept sinking into the sandy ground so I had to go back to my hotel and change.

Once dressed in the right attire I returned to the palace and had a glass of Champagne and some tasty nibbles including a vast selection of French cheese and crackers. The music was banging French style, Justice, Daft Punk, Air, Etienne de Crécy, Cassius, you name it all the French glitterati and some Brit numbers as well including Basement Jaxx. The sound system was sublime and complimented all the music played. My favourite track of the night was Justice ‘Safe and Sound’. This was accompanied by a mesmerising light display which illuminated the palace.

The Versailles PalaceThere are regular events held outside at the palace but this is the first electro rave that has taken place. The whole night was a blinding success with a finale of beautiful fireworks.

A VIP ticket entitles you to two glasses of Champagne and an unlimited buffet and enclosed area to view the palace and DJs, but whatever ticket you have one thing is guaranteed, you will have a fantastic time

A big thank you to Natasha!
